I began my journey to becoming a Natural Therapies Practitioner by being unhealthy. I worked in a busy law firm & never felt quite right. I struggled with chronic disease myself & discovered that I simply hadn’t been educated in how to be healthy! This led me to study Naturopathy & Nutrition at the Australian College of Natural Medicine and discover not only how to feel good myself but also how to help others.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Health Science I travelled overseas to use my new skills & research African & Indian traditional medicines. Since returning to Australia I have enjoyed consulting in private practice and have realised the importance of treating patients holistically, incorporating the body, mind & spirit. This led me to train as a Pilates & Yoga instructor so I could provide clients with personalised classes & holistic exercise plans to complete their health prescription.

Along with clinical practice, my passion is also education. As well as teaching Yoga & Pilates, I also lecture in Sports Nutrition for FIAFitnation, teach at the Endeavour College of Natural Health & have written courses in Infant & Children’s Nutrition, Fertility as well as teaching Meditation short courses. I am furthering my interest with postgraduate study in Higher Education.

My treatment philosophy revolves around treating people as individuals rather than labelling them by their disease or condition; this drives me to find the root cause of their condition rather than treating with a ‘band-aid’ approach.

Although I enjoy working with all areas of health some areas I am particularly passionate about include

  • Natural Fertility, Pregnancy, Infant Health & Nutrition: since enjoying the journey to motherhood myself & writing courses in fertility and infant nutrition I have seen & experienced the amazing results that can be achieved using Naturopathic & Nutritional medicine.
  • Diagnosed or suspected food intolerances & allergies e.g. gluten. Many people are diagnosed with food intolerances and feel quite lost in what to eat & how to eat. Nutritional support can provide assistance with avoiding allergenic foods & replacing them with nutritious alternatives.
  • Skin health
  • Emotional imbalance, depression, anxiety
  • Sports Nutrition
