Michelle Boyd has been in private practice since 1996 and is skilled in Clinical Herbal Medicine and Naturopathy and has lectured herbal medicine and supervised student clinic since 2001 (currently at Torrens University).
Michelle is mindful of the importance for further education and enjoys having full access to the most current scientific information, especially in the field of Naturopathic medicine. Keeping up to date is of great importance as this area is consistently evolving to support the health needs of our modern-day society.
Over the last 25+ years Michelle has had the privilege of learning from and working with some of the world’s leading professionals in the field of herbal medicine. She has delved into various areas of clinical practice particularly for female reproductive health, stress management and above all preventative care in the promotion of general health and wellbeing.
Michelle is especially interested in supporting midlife women (being one herself) and their transition through menopause. Although women are highly motivated to seek help for those ‘bothersome’ menopausal symptoms, there is more to menopause than addressing hot flushes and night sweats – it is most important to consider the ‘bigger picture’ of what the following decades will hold and particularly that of a diet and lifestyle that will help to improve/maintain health and vitality in this stage of a woman’s life.
Michelle has found that the greatest clinical results have come from working ‘realistically’ with her patients and making ‘reasonable’ recommendations within their budgetary confines and timelines, to ultimately lead towards a healthier and happier life.
Michelle has no set clinic times and consults are by appointment only. Michelle also recommends you might like to consult with any of the other practitioners at Herbs on the Hill Clinic.
